​​​​​​​Alyssa is from South Philly, her favorite part of growing up in Philly is all the amazing food. Nothing is better than a home cooked meal by her mom. Since a small child Alyssa has been drawn to networks and shows like The Animal Planet and video games that are veterinary medicine simulation based. At home she has 3 cats, Shadow, Korra, and Tim. 2 Red Eared Sliders named Paco and Spotter and an aquarium with cichlids and loaches.

Alyssa started her path toward veterinary medicine by working at doggy day cares then in 2021 she was a client service representative at Penn Vet. This is where she got her foot in the door to veterinary medicine and learned about education opportunities at Harcum College. Alyssa in 2022 started at Harcum College in the veterinary technician program. She feels a calling when it comes to emergency and critical care but also is excited to learn about all the different specialties and career opportunities that are in the veterinary medicine world.
