This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a rapidly growing multispecialty veterinary hospital in Philadelphia. The Technician Manager will be responsible for leading the veterinary technician and assistant team and help direct the day to day functions on an interdepartmental level. The ideal candidate should demonstrate leadership and provide mentorship to help us continue to grow and develop the technical team. We are looking for doctors that are internship-trained or have at least 2 years of experience in emergency medicine. Philadelphia Animal Specialty and Emergency (PASE) is seeking a skilled advanced Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician pursuing a position in an exceptional non-corporate specialty hospital environment fostering continued growth and development. A PASE Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician will work with veterinary assistants, other veterinary technicians, veterinarians, board-certified veterinary specialists, and a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist to provide exceptional care for small animal patients, exotic pets, avians, and occasionally, equines, zoo animals, and aquarium animals being examined for ophthalmology appointments, and undergoing ophthalmic surgical procedures within a multi-disciplinary specialty hospital. Daily tasks include animal restraint, ophthalmic diagnostic testing, filling medications and preparing written prescriptions, preparing and presenting financial estimates and payment options, accurately entering service charges and electronic medical record keeping, extensive client education and interaction, pre- and post-operative patient care, sedation, general anesthesia, and patient monitoring.

An Internal Medicine assistant will work with other veterinary assistants, veterinary technicians, veterinarians, and a board-certified veterinarian in small animal internal medicine to provide exceptional care for small animal patients within a multidisciplinary specialty hospital.
