Care Coordinator
Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she moved to the U.S. at the age of four, her parents sought a brighter future for her. Despite growing up in a new country, she remained deeply connected to her roots, spending summers in Haiti in her mother’s province, soaked in the beauty of the beaches, and indulged in the rich flavors of Haitian cuisine.
Animals have always been a constant source of joy in Ann’s life. Raised by parents who adored animals, her home was always filled with cats, dogs, and any stray creatures that found their way to the family. The companionship brought joy and excitement to Ann's every day, and she never felt alone.
Her passion for veterinary medicine took root in high school when she joined a veterinary technician program, leading her to an internship that deepened her love for the field. Through hands-on experiences, she discovered the profound impact of animal care, which solidified her decision to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. An externship at a local practice turned into her first job, marking the start of her professional journey.
Ann’s career evolved from general practice to PASE, a specialty and emergency veterinary hospital. As the lead assistant in both the emergency and surgery departments, she played a key role in establishing the hospital’s surgery protocols and procedures. After a brief hiatus from veterinary medicine, she returned to PASE as a Critical Care Coordinator, where she continues to thrive.
Beyond her career, Ann’s life is filled with adventure and creativity. She trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, finding strength and discipline in the sport. She is an avid reader, drawn to the world of romance and fantasy novels. She also enjoys pet sitting, spending time with friends, and exploring the city’s culinary scene—especially during Restaurant Week. You can often find her running along the Schuylkill River, embracing the peace of the water. A storyteller at heart, Ann is currently working on her first fiction book and an autobiography, sharing the experiences that shaped her life both in Haiti and the U.S.
At home, Ann shares her space with Brittany, a two-year-old domestic shorthair cat with a big personality and even bigger demands, and Turty-Turt, a five-year-old red-eared slider who loves basking in the warmth and getting into mischief.
