Elise Diffie grew up in Auburn, Alabama. She earned a bachelor of science degree from Millsaps College and studied veterinary medicine at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Diffie completed a yearlong small animal rotating medicine and surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania.
After completing her internship, Dr. Diffie began working as a PhD student and veterinary researcher at Auburn University. While her time spent focusing on research was very interesting, she found that she missed clinical practice and the excitement of working in an ER. After practicing emergency medicine in the Boston area, Dr. Diffie has found her place in Philadelphia, working as a part of the PASE team.
Dr. Diffie loves the bond shared by humans and their pets. She is always grateful for the opportunity to prolong that bond by helping pets recover from illness and trauma.
In her spare time, Dr. Diffie enjoys watching college football (War Eagle!), spending time with her two dogs (Remy and Roux), reading, and exercising.
