Jayme

Neurology Technician

Jayme grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and loves the town's close-knit community feel. From local shops lining Main Street to community events and live music throughout the year, Doylestown has always felt like home.

Her passion for animals started at a very young age. As a toddler, Jamie could often be found walking around with a stuffed dog on a leash, dreaming of one day having a dog of her own. That dream came true when she was 11 years old and welcomed Cody, a Cockapoo who quickly became her best friend. Cody was famous for burrowing under blankets, and Jamie could always count on finding him tucked beneath her bed covers after school.

Jayme began her veterinary career during the COVID-19 pandemic as a kennel assistant at a local general practice. Through the support, mentorship, and training she received, she was able to grow her skills and advance into anesthesia. One of her most memorable cases involved anesthetizing a chinchilla undergoing a toe amputation—a case she still remembers fondly today.

What Jayme loves most about veterinary medicine is being an advocate for patients who cannot speak for themselves. She enjoys the problem-solving aspect of the profession and is especially passionate about anesthesia, where structure, routine, and constant attentiveness come together to help patients safely through procedures. She also has a special interest in diagnostic imaging, appreciating both the technical skill required to capture quality images and the excitement of discovering what each image may reveal to help guide patient care.

Outside of work, Jayme enjoys spending time with her two beloved cats, Denver and Gnocchi. Denver is a 10-year-old toothless boy who somehow still manages to try to eat absolutely everything. Gnocchi, a one-year-old rescue who was found on the streets at just two weeks old, is full of personality, sass, and confidence—she firmly believes it's Gnocchi's world and everyone else is just living in it.

When she's not caring for patients, Jayme loves kayaking, playing the violin, and spending time outdoors. She enjoys performing violin music at weddings and also plays for her own enjoyment. Whether she's on the water, immersed in music, or exploring nature, Jamie appreciates opportunities to unplug, recharge, and connect with the things she loves most.
