Lisa Dourmashkin, VMD

Emergency Doctor

Dr. Lisa Dourmashkin, VMD, is an Emergency Veterinarian at PASE. Lisa is originally from Long Island, New York and for as long as she can remember, she’s wanted to be a vet!

Lisa graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor’s of Science and spent two years after college working as a veterinary technician at a small animal practice. It was during this job where she developed her passion for the human animal bond, and loved working with people to ensure the animals they share their world with are well care for. Lisa went to the University of Pennsylvania for veterinary school and enjoyed exploring her various passions within veterinary medicine, particularly with shelter medicine and veterinary service trips. She spent many weekends volunteering for spay and neuter clinics, and a week long trip to Thailand to provide free veterinary care to low-income areas.

After veterinary school Lisa completed a one year small animal rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Through her internship year, her passion for emergency and internal medicine has grown. When Lisa’s not working a shift in the Emergency Room, you may find her spending extra time with the Internal Medicine service gaining as much knowledge and experience as she can. Lisa has particular interests in nephrology, urology, endocrinology, and hematology.

Outside the hospital, Lisa loves spending her free time with her partner and their two dogs Slim and Breck, going on long runs, traveling as much as possible, and finding the next best baked good!
