Michael James

Hospital Administrator

Michael grew up in Kalamazoo, MI and began his veterinary journey during a high school externship. He’s known since then that he was meant to work in the veterinary field. He has been a credentialed veterinary technician since 2011, with experience in general practice, emergency, anesthesia, and other specialties. After several years working in academia, Michael relocated to Los Angeles, where he gained experience leading large specialty and emergency hospitals, multi-site operations, and deepened his expertise in building training programs for veterinary professionals.
 
Michael fell in love with Philadelphia after completing an anesthesia training program led by an anesthesiologist at Penn, and was thrilled to relocate from the West Coast to join the team at PASE. He is passionate about exceptional client service, patient care, and the well-being of veterinary professionals. In addition to his vet tech credentials, Michael has a Master’s degree in Health Administration (MHA) and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
 
Outside of work, Michael enjoys playing tennis, working out, and taking care of his two dogs (Archer and Caesar), and his ball python (Fantasia).​​​​​​​
