Emergency and Critical Care Nurse
Dayhanna Vieda was born and raised in New York City. She has been in the veterinary field for over 14 years. She started her journey in a small busy animal practice where she assumed she wanted to become a Veterinarian until she experienced the role of a veterinary technician. She fell in love with the nursing care of veterinary medicine and pursued her passion at Mercy College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology in 2016. Over the years, she has become a seasoned and passionate Licensed Veterinary Technician in General Practice, Emergency, Critical Care, and Anesthesia. In 2020, Dayhanna moved to Philadelphia in pursuit of her second degree to become a Registered Nurse. Her passion for medicine never ceased to grow as continues to pursue a specialty in Critical Care and one day become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
Early 2021, Dayhanna was presented with the vision of Veterinarians seeking to start a privately-owned specialty in the heart of Philadelphia. As she listened to a Critical and Internist share their experience and dreams, she immediately knew it was an opportunity she wanted to be part of. With the same vision of practicing medicine with passion, evidence-based, and excellent care, she left the corporate world, joined the PASE team in June 2021, and never looked back. "I can never leave Veterinary Medicine. It has stirred and continues to be the fuel for my passion for medicine. I absolutely love what I do as a Veterinary Technician. I enjoy the people I work with, and the care we provide. I've learned so much here and I can't wait to see the expansion of PASE to provide excellent care to the furry loved ones in the city of "Brotherly Love".
