Department Head of Internal Medicine
We are pleased to introduce PASE's Department Head of Internal Medicine and board-certified Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Andréanne Cléroux, DVM, IPSAV, DACVIM (SAIM).
Dr. Cléroux completed her undergraduate training at Guelph University. She then completed her veterinary training at the University of Montréal, obtaining her degree in veterinary medicine in 2013. She remained at the University of Montréal for a one-year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. She then moved to Philadelphia, PA for a three-year residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania followed by a two-year fellowship in Interventional Radiology. She remained at the University of Pennsylvania as a faculty member of the Internal Medicine and Interventional Radiology Services. She joined the PASE team in February 2023.
Dr. Cléroux has authored and co-authored several articles in veterinary journals as well as textbook chapters. During her veterinary education, Dr. Cléroux participated in multiple community-focused veterinary endeavors, including trips to the Arctic (Nunavik, Canada) to work with Inuit communities to provide wellness and preventative medicine as well as work on public health projects. She was the first veterinarian to travel to these communities to offer this type of care.
Dr. Cléroux enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, but has particular interests in nephrology and urology, respiratory diseases, and interventional radiology and minimally invasive procedures. Outside of work she enjoys traveling with her family, kitesurfing, and cycling. She has a Golden Retriever named George, and a cat named Bernard.
