Jonathan Cooper

Emergency and Critical Care Technician

Jonathan was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but moved to Texas shortly after birth. He spent the last several years in Austin, Texas where he was the Lead Technician at a large 10 doctor general practice, eastern medicine practice, and urgent care facility. There he developed an interest in the nuances of caring for the critically ill pets that came in and discovered his passion for Emergency & Critical Care medicine.

Jonathan moved to Philadelphia in January of 2022 where he started his journey working in the Emergency Department at PASE. He enjoys being a part of our Shift Lead team, the Patient Safety Committee, and the Blood Donor Program.

​​​​​​​Jonathan is currently in school at San Juan College pursuing the credentials to become a board-certified technician by 2024. In his free time, you can find Jonathan at his local community garden where he volunteers and grows many seasonal veggies of his own. His afternoon passtime is sitting amongst his numerous plants at home and serenading them with his lap steel guitar or going to his local rock climbing gym. While Jonathan currently does not have any pets, he is excitedly browsing the many adoption centers around Philadelphia to find his perfect companion!
