Dr. Megan King graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She then completed a rotating medical and surgical internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in 2004. Dr King stayed on at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital for her cardiology residency. Dr King completed her residency in cardiology in 2006 and became board certified in veterinary cardiology. Her specialty includes comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of both congenital and acquired heart disease, congestive heart failure, pericardial effusion, pulmonary disease and pleural space disease.
Dr King has been the head of cardiology at Blue Pearl Langhorne/CARES for the past 16 years. She started Tri-Vet Cardiology, a specialty mobile cardiology consultation company 11 years ago. With this combination, she has been working both in Philadelphia and the suburbs to diagnose, treat, and care for cardiac patients and their families.
Dr Megan King lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband and two sons, ages 14 and 16. She has three German shorthaired pointers, Burke, Raymond, and Valee. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends at the beach and in the mountains.
